BGP OIL & GAS SERVICES LLC OMAN,
a joint venture between BGP International China (Subsidiary of CNPC
China),and Rees Oil & Gas Services LLc Oman (a 100% Omani company
owned by Omzest group and AlYousef international Oman), has
commenced operations on a 3D Seismic survey of Block 5 for Daleel
Petroleum.
BGP began its geophysical data interpretation business in 1973.
Currently, BGP has expanded its services to the global market.
Research
activities focus mainly on comprehensive evaluation of oil and gas
resources in the early stage of basins or blocks, strategic designs
for exploration and production, reservoir prediction, fine reservoir
description and enhancement of oil and gas recoveries.
BGP is an
integrated solution provider for strategic decision and petroleum
activities in different stages of oil and gas fields. Right now, BGP
has 8 geophysical data interpretation and geological research
branches in China, and 2 comprehensive research centers abroad.
BGP possesses powerful hardware and software systems for geological
research. We have developed many geological software packages such
as GRIStation (2-D/3-D interpretation), RED (reservoir
characterization), SVAS (seismic velocity analysis), CATE (computer
aided trap evaluation), GMES (G.M.E. data processing and
interpretation), and VP3 (velocity field construction and mapping in
complex structural regions).
A series of
advanced software systems has been installed, such as LANDMARK,
GEOQUEST, VOXELGEO, PDI 2-D GEOSEC, ZYCOR EARTHVISION, STRATA, and
JASON. The main functions cover Basin Simulation, Balance Section,
Forward and Inverse Modeling, Seismic Data Interactive
Interpretation, Well Logging Data Processing and Analysis, Seismic
Inversion and Lithological Prediction, Reservoir Description, 3-D
Visualization, and Inside Reality Integrated Interpretation.
BGP has more than 550 geological researchers from China and abroad,
with strong educational backgrounds and rich experience. 20% of them
have more than 30 years', and 30% have over 20 years' experience in
this field. 80% hold a bachelor or a higher degree. To date, BGP has
provided integrated services for all Chinese oilfields and more than
15 major oil companies in over 20 countries.
